and life has been asbolute hell for myself and my girlfriend ever since we moved into this hellish apartment in october!!!

we’ve been dealing with:

- constant screaming and fighting from our neighbours both above and below, carrying into the night and morning (it’s like these people never sleep)
- loud music being blasted and neighbours being hostile when asked politely to turn it down
- lukewarm, cold showers that are the result of an 8 unit building having 1 water heater
- smoking in other units as well as in the stairwell, to the point where our apartment is starting to smell like cigarette smoke, despite this is supposed to be a non-smoking building
- random people who don’t live here hanging out and smoking in the stairwell
- random bed bugs & cockroaches in our apartment!
- clothes coming out of the dryer smelling like cigarettes
- and most recently (a couple days ago) the front door of this apartment was smashed in with a large rock!!!
- all of this on top of chronic pain in my lower back and joints and legs and fatigue and depression and ptsd and etc.

our landlord refuses to do anything to fix any of this and they won’t even let us break lease, so we have to wait until we can assign the lease to someone, meaning we have to have apartment showings which is even more work and stress for both of us. we also need to find a new apartment to move into that hopefully isn’t as horrible as this one.
